The project aimed to highlight the healthcare disparities, particularly in breast cancer treatment, across various countries. The creative challenge was to make a well-discussed topic impactful once again. The solution was to visualize these gaps tangibly by using mastectomy scars as a powerful representation of the healthcare disparities faced by women.

In Latin America, despite significant improvements in healthcare, gender disparities in access to medical services remain prevalent. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), these gaps are particularly evident in breast cancer, where early diagnosis is often out of reach for many women. Buzz’s campaign aimed to bring this issue to light through a series of compelling visual representations.

The strategy involved creating impactful visual content distributed across multiple media channels, including print, digital, and audiovisual formats, in countries like Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Chile, and the Dominican Republic. The campaign’s striking visuals and strong messaging effectively communicated the critical need for improved healthcare access for women.
