Cookie Policy.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies the BUZZ website uses, what each one does, how long it lasts and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
In short: we only use the cookies the site needs to work. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which sets a security cookie of its own on the contact pages. Videos hosted on Vimeo, which set cookies of their own, are loaded only if you agree. We do not use advertising, marketing or social media tracking cookies.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They let the site remember information between pages or visits, such as your language or the choices you made. Some are set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) and others by services it embeds (third-party cookies).
2. How we use cookies
We group cookies into two categories, the same ones you see in the cookie banner:
- Strictly necessary: they keep the site working and secure, and remember your language and your cookie choice. They do not track you and cannot be turned off. On the contact pages this includes Google reCAPTCHA, which protects the form from spam (see 3.2).
- External media — Vimeo: the videos on the site (the showreel on the home page and the videos in our case studies) are hosted on Vimeo. Vimeo sets its own cookies, so we only load its player if you accept this category. If you don’t, you’ll see a still image instead.
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
buzz_consent | BUZZ (this site) | Remembers which cookie categories you accepted or rejected, so we don’t ask you again on every page. | 180 days |
pll_language | BUZZ (this site) | Remembers the language version of the site you are browsing (English or Spanish). | 1 year |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare, on behalf of BUZZ | Distinguishes people from automated traffic to protect the site from bots. Only set when needed. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare, on behalf of BUZZ | Records that your browser passed a Cloudflare security check, so you don’t have to repeat it. Only set when a check is shown. | Up to 1 year |
3.2 Contact form protection — Google reCAPTCHA
The contact forms (in English and Spanish) use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to tell people from automated spam. It works in the background, without asking you to solve anything, and it only loads on the contact pages. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyses information such as your IP address, details about your device and browser and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google. Google states that it uses this information to improve reCAPTCHA and for general security purposes, and not for personalised advertising.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_GRECAPTCHA | Risk analysis: helps tell people from bots when the form is sent. | 6 months |
Because it protects the form from abuse, reCAPTCHA is not one of the optional categories in the cookie banner. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you prefer not to use it, you can write to us directly at [email protected] instead of using the form.
3.3 External media — Vimeo (only with your consent)
These cookies are set by Vimeo and the services it relies on, on Vimeo’s own domains, when a video is loaded. BUZZ does not control them and cannot read them. The exact list may change over time; Vimeo describes them in its Cookie Policy.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vuid | Vimeo | Vimeo’s analytics: counts video views and how the player is used. | Up to 2 years |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare, on behalf of Vimeo | Protects Vimeo’s player from automated traffic. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare, on behalf of Vimeo | Records that your browser passed a security check on Vimeo. | Up to 1 year |
__cf_ob, _cfuvid | Cloudflare, on behalf of Vimeo | Load balancing and rate limiting for Vimeo’s player. | Session |
Vimeo may also load its own analytics provider inside the player. To learn how Vimeo processes your data, see its Privacy Policy.
3.4 Analytics without cookies
To understand how the site is used we rely on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify or follow individual visitors: it only reports aggregated figures such as page views and loading times. You can read more on Cloudflare’s website.
3.5 Administration
If you log in to the site’s administration area, WordPress sets its own session cookies (such as wordpress_logged_in_* and wp-settings-*). They only affect the people who manage the site, not visitors.
4. Managing your preferences
- Cookie banner: the first time you visit, you can accept, reject or choose by category in «Preferences». Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Change your mind at any time: use «Cookie preferences» at the bottom of every page to review or change your choice.
- Your browser: you can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not work as expected.
We ask for your choice again after 180 days, or sooner if we change the categories of cookies we use.
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we change the cookies the site uses. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
6. Contact
